This magazine double page spread has been taken from the magazine source “Rwdmag”. This double page spread follows the genre of a hip hop theme. This is a great double page spread to analyze as it has many qualities and conventions for a double page article. This double page spread has two images that have been used, and has a wide amount of writing on the double page spread. The images do not really make the double page spread look like a hip hop genre, but the cover like shows and expresses that this double page spread has been taken from a hip hop magazine “the queen of UK R&B on finding her voice, and feeling exposed”. The colours have been used well as it follows a pattern of white and red. It also makes the images stand out, as “Jamelia” is written on top of the image of the character used which shows great significant of the character used. The double page spread also has a quote which is highly effective, as the quote may give suggestion on what can be expected further in the magazine and also give an answer to any of the question viewers may have. For example the cover line “the queen of UK R&B on finding her voice, and feeling exposed” can be answered in the quote shown, as the character used can answer what she is doing in order to find her voice.
